In my high school years, I have a friend named Noah; we would be seated next to each other a typical alphabetical seating arrangement except for English class where she is seated in front of me. One boring afternoon during our English class, I jokingly made fun of her thinking she won’t get mad. But after our class she just ignored me and didn’t talk to me for days which saddened me.
In small talks I learned she was hurt and that I deliberately put her to shame and that causes her to be angry. Admittedly I know I wronged her and that I was willing to apologize. So when I confronted her I told her I was sorry and that my actions where unintentional. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship. Noah, after hearing what I have to say, had me her pardon and she warmly hugged me as a sign of reconciliation.
After that petit incident I promise myself not to do it again to her or to any of my friends. I realized that small jokes are better if everybody is happy. Friendship is better if you are not a bully.
