Hassle Rain

Last semester, I had four hours vacant time in school every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Often times I just stay in school and do home works or hang out with friends during those hours to pass time but there were times that I went home to take a comfortable nap. My home was almost an hour away from school so I didn’t go home unless it’s really necessary. Another reason was that I usually get drowsy once I entered my bedroom and I always ended up ditching my classes.

There was a Monday that I felt too exhausted and really sleepy so I decided to go home. I didn’t notice then that the sky was growing dark. When I went home, I had two hours more to rest so I lay cozily in my bed and set my alarm after an hour.

When I woke up, it was raining cats and dogs. I looked outside and the sky was incredibly dark, though it wasn’t evening yet. I put my hopes up and decided to wait for the rain to stop. It didn’t though, it just rained harder. I figured that I wouldn’t make it to class. Well, I could but I hated commuting during rainy days. It was such a hassle and since I didn’t have my own car, it’s even more stressful. Plus, the amount of passengers in public transportation seems to double up when it’s raining. I texted my friend and told her that I wouldn’t be attending the class that day.

I won’t say that I didn’t like having absences, of course I do. I love to ditch my class simply because I can but it was a Business Law subject. I really liked the course and my professor. It was the first time that I didn’t attend her class and though she didn’t give plus points to attendance, I considered my absence as a loss. Since then I didn’t go home as much and whenever I do, I make sure that the skies are clear and Mr. Sun is there.
