Always do laundry when you have an extra few hours

I moved out of my parent’s house when I was 17 to move to a different state. I moved so that I could I get instate tuition at school I wanted to go to. Of course when you’re at home, you help your parents with chores, but you have no idea how much work it takes to complete all household tasks until you have to do it on your own. I’ve done many household chores wrong since I’ve been on my own. My parents I’m sure tried to teach me the best that they could. When I got my first apartment I was supplied with a washer and dryer. Of course, I procrastinated and waited until the last minute to do my laundry when I didn’t have any clean clothes left I separated the clothes, of course, into lights and darks, and delicates and normal. Because I needed the clothes right then, I would put the clothes directly from the washer into the dryer. After I learned to delegate my time better, I realized it was much easier to do laundry when I didn’t need it, so I didn’t have to wait hours before I had clean clothes. One night I had an extra hour before I had to go to work, so I decided to be productive and start laundry. Well, I had to leave for work and the clothes weren’t done yet. When I got home early in the morning (I was a bartender), I was ready for bed and forgot all about my clothes in the washer. When I got up for the morning, after coffee and breakfast, I went to transfer my clothes into the dryer. Good grief, my clothes smelled-bad. I started the washer again, but when once they were done, I went to put them in the washer, and they still smelled like mildew. I went online to see how I could fix this issue and they said to add vinegar. I washed the clothes again, and finally they did not stink! I put them in the dryer-three loads in the washer later. Lesson learned-do not start laundry unless you can put the load in the washer and then the dryer immediately after!
