Mark that calendar

I’m not sure if I’m the only girl who doesn’t do this, but I don’t actually count the days ‘til my next period. My menstruation isn’t always regular, but most often than not it is. So I just kind of estimate when I my period will come visit me. It didn’t use to be a hassle because my period usually arrives early morning, so it’s a lot easier to deal with.

However, there has been a time that my period arrived when I was in school. What’s worse is that our uniform is pure white and I have no sanitary napkin with me. It had been really uncomfortable and stressful because I was in class then and kind of shy to excuse myself.

I wait for the class to end before I go to the ladies’ room. I wouldn’t describe in detail but it was a mess. I have to go home to change and later on I’m no longer in the mood to attend any of my classes.

It’s really embarrassing because my classmates asked why I was absent for the rest of the day and I wasn’t comfortable telling them the reason, though I know that could be pretty understandable. It’s also uncomfortable riding the public transportation and getting paranoid that you’ll have a stain when you sit and everyone would see.

I still don’t mark my calendar for my period but I now bring a small pouch with me with napkins and extra underwear inside. I know this is a must for all the ladies’ but it just happened that that day I was feeling to be irresponsible.
