Always roll up car windows

After we had been married a few months my husband decided to go to a technical school in Florida. I lived in the Midwest, so I was super excited to be able to live in a state with a beach. We looked for houses to rent while he was going to school and found the perfect little house, only fifteen minutes away from the beach. We were both very excited. We packed up all of our stuff and started the twenty hour drive. When we got there, we were exhausted, so we opted to keep the moving van for an extra day. We got my car and went into town to get some pizza to bring back to the house. The weather was very warm and very humid, so I left the windows down, not thinking anything about it. The next day we returned the moving van. My husband drove the van and followed him in my car. We were about ten minutes away from moving van drop off when I noticed something moving by my feet. I looked down and realized that a snake was slowly circling my feet at the floorboard. I panicked because I didn’t know if it was poisonous or not. I didn’t know whether I should stop and jump out or keep going. I couldn’t take ten minutes of snake wrapping itself around my legs, so I pulled of the side of the road and opened my door. I was trying to think of what to do, when the snake slithered out the open door. Oh my gosh. I was so upset that I called my husband and told him what had happened. He made sure I was ok, and then asked if I could still drive. Talking to him calmed me down, so I drove to the moving van location and picked him up. He was talking to the manager about the snake and he said that that wasn’t that uncommon if you didn’t roll your windows up. Never, never ,never leave your car windows rolled down in Florida!
